Our 150th anniversary kicks off on Sunday, March 2  at 4 p.m. with a hymn festival celebrating the musical contributions of Lutheran musicians from Chicago. 

Dr. Steven Wente, Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Organist Laureate at Concordia University Chicago, will serve as the guest organist.

Rev. Stephen Starke, former pastor of St. John's and accomplished Lutheran hymn author, will provide commentary.

We will also debut an anniversary hymn with text by Rev. Starke and a musical setting by St. John's music teacher, Mrs. Katrina Jurica.
